I go to a Private University and still ridiculous how expensive it gets. Last year tuition went up by $2,000 and I can't afford to dorm so I commute via train. It is odd the tradition of the university originally started to help immigrants and children of immigrants could have an affordable college back in the 1800s but now i highly doubt any immigrants would be able to afford it now.
No matter what the school does it always comes down to financial aid and the government takes away from it every year. In addition to that the Fafsa form itself is ridiculous and needs to be revised greatly.
