LOL! I know what those busy days, raising kids, working outside the home, are like...;)
This reminds me of the time my sister-in-law went to my deep freezer to get a roast out for dinner, but instead she opened a sack that had a dead frozen rattle snake, she let out shreek that the neighbor a mile away could hear!

  I had a rattler that I had skinnned but left the head on in my freezer as a joke. When my daughters came to AZ to visit me I asked one them to get me the ice cube tray. I had neighbors running down to see who had died she shrieked so loud. I didn't mean to scare her half to death. I mean the thing was frozen solid. LOL
  I mean they had seen my new coontail rattler with rattles still attached hat band. I figured they knew their dad wouldn't waste food. Haahahahaaa
  They got me back later, it was fair. LOL
