anyone with his job and at his age which hasn't made an investment or two I sure wouldn't vote for to lead the country. I bet there wasn't anything the least bit shady about the purchase either.

Damn I wish I owned that Parking Lot. It is so sad that Neophile is so envious about such a great investment and of those that have built wealth through taking risks. I guess he feels it is unfair that he didn't make such smart investments. I would suggest some literacy courses. These can be self taught. Perhaps start with a book by a couple of the most successful business men and investors. Welcome to the Downloads section, where you can hear EXCLUSIVE audio lessons from the authors themselves, Donald J. Trump and Robert Kiyosaki!

      Here you Go Neophile:

      You'll learn:
      • How to harness the power of "Thinking BIG!"
      • How to see the opportunities that surround you every day
      • How YOU can apply the lessons of the book to your own life – and find true success!

Another book that may help you understand how to understand that being wealthy (not only monetarily but emotionally) is not a bad thing is Think and Grow Rich Napoleon Hill first published in 1937 and has sold Millions of copies, The Seven Habits of Highly Effective People, Rich Dad, Poor Dad: What the Rich Teach Their Kids About Money--That the Poor and Middle Class Do Not!, The Richest Man in Babylon a book for those like Neophile or anyone who seems baffled by the world of finance.

That's if Cindy's daddy, who has been linked to crime figures Clarence "Teak" Baldwin and Kemper Marley, didn't help McBush buy the parking lot. Oh, he did.

Which means i should definitely qualify for welfare, as should the majority of Americans, if 5 million in income is the guideline.

When Warren asked McCain how he defined “rich,” McCain replied by saying, “I think if you’re just talking about income, how about 5 million (dollars)?”

McCain quickly elaborated on his answer by adding, “I’m sure that comment will be distorted, but the point is … that we want to keep people’s taxes low and increase revenues.”

On Monday, McCain campaign spokesman Tucker Bounds responded to Obama’s criticism, saying McCain had been prescient in his warning.

“As was immediately predicted by John McCain after he made the remark, Barack Obama is already distorting his comment about the definition of ‘rich’ in America. Remember when Barack Obama said he was ‘tired of distortion, name-calling and sound bite solutions to complicated problems?’ Neither do we,” Bounds said.

A McCain aide later told FOX News that the GOP frontrunner was “asked about defining who is rich in the context of raising taxes.”

McCain “firmly believes in not raising any American’s taxes. It’s not the job of government to define who is rich,” the aide said.

I agree. The government nor Obama should be defining someones wealth or lack thereof . I am for the flat tax which is a consumption tax rather than an Income tax.

How the heck did he swing a deal for THAT parking lot? There had to be some competition for a parking lot for a baseball field.

Further investigation shows that before that lot was made there was a cafe there called "The Paradise Cafe".

So it is true that McCain did indeed pave paradise and put up a parking lot.

Don't it always seem to go:
"You don't know what you've got 'til it's gone."
They paved paradise, and put up a parking lot.

This would make a great attack ad, and somehow I think the Democrats would be able to get permission for use of the song:

... a mom-and-pop shop being bulldozed, a clearcut forest, fleets of SUVs, a 'made in china' label, a closed manufacturing plant, oil spills covering a beach... powerful images to go with the song. Final image (if they can get it) would be the "Straight Talk Express" parked in an otherwise-empty lot...

No speech, just the images and the song.

That's exactly why it's so fantastic to be an American and live in America. We all have the opportunity to become very rich in this country. But hey, if you think it's wrong to be rich, then get the F out of this country. Move to N. Korea or someplace that you can live like a stinking starving rat!

TNS, one of the world's largest market
information companies, today released highlights from its annual Affluent
Market Research Program (AMRP), the longest running program of its kind.
Among the key survey findings were the following:
-- The number of U.S. millionaire households has risen to a record high of
9.3 million as of mid-2006. This is an increase of five percent from
the prior year, and the fourth consecutive year that the population of
millionaires has increased (Millionaires are defined as $1MM in net
              worth excluding primary residence)

-- Among those millionaires who have Internet access, online trading has
jumped 45 percent over the last five years, to 32 percent.

-- Among the 37% who do not use a financial advisor, 46% cited "I feel I
do better managing my own money," and 31% said "the wealth of
information makes a professional advisor unnecessary."

-- Los Angeles County ranks number one with the most number of
              millionaires -- over 268,000

McLame and his money bags wife definitely qualify for those huge tax cuts for the super rich. No wonder the senile old fool wants to make the Bush tax cuts permanent. What's another 3 or 4 trillion on the national debt - chicken feed.

Bet McSame doesn't have a sub-prime, negative amortization mortgage on that parking lot!

He wants to *double* the cuts for the top 3-5%. He and Cindy would qualify for an *additional* $300,000 in cuts.

That's right, because he was smart enough not to make such a stupid decision as to get a loan like that. It isn't the government's fault if people don't read their loan documents and buy more house than they can afford. DUH!

Now, Now lets not get too tough on the guy. Don't you remember there is only one way for his wife to get around in Arizona? That's by private plane. See she needed a landing strip for that plane and the parking lot serves double duty.

So you see, they thought they would save some taxpayer money by making a double use airport/parking lot. Now if he could just remember where it is..............

                Your candidate's leadership experience:

The four plus years (1995-1999) Barack Obama spent as founding chairman of the board of the Chicago Annenberg Challenge (CAC) represent his track record as reformer, as someone who reached out in a public-private collaboration and had the audacity to believe his effort would make things better. At the time he became leader of this ambitious project to remake the public schools of Chicago, he was 33 years old and a third year associate at a small Chicago law firm, Davis, Miner, Barnhill & Galland.

This was a big test for him, his chance to cut his teeth on bringing hope and change to the mostly minority inner city school children trapped in Chicago schools. And he flopped big time, squandering lots of money and the time of many public employees in the process.

If Ayers were the sole point of interest in seeking the Annenberg Challenge files promised to Kurtz, all "132 boxes, containing 947 file folders, a total of about 70 linear feet of material", then the Obama camp might claim it was merely guilt-by association and persuade at least some of its own partisans. But the fact that Obama was in charge of a massive expensive project makes it indisputably a matter of proper vetting to examine his track record at delivering on promises of hope and change.

Knowing the repug reputation for shady, no-bid contracts, I wonder how McSame did get the concession for that parking-on. Knowing when and where the stadium was to be built before the general public would have advantages. I'd bet the back-door shenanigans with Johnney's connections plus Cindy money probably got the property at an unbelievably low price.

                    I've come to America.
                    I've seen it.
                    I've "understood"
Like JC said: "veni, vidi, vici"

America is great, ..... if you are rich, and, for me, well, sorry, "rich" starts at a much lower income than 5 milion.
For most "working class people however, it's an "American (impossible) dream". And .... the "american dream" is kept in place by the brainwash from the super rich., as, in truth an IMPOSSIBLE dream it usualy is.

I travel to the States at least once a year (vacation, e.g. skiing), and I don't think I'm poor (even tough for Mc Cain I must be VERY poor)
However, for lower Middleclass, and regular working people, it is a very tough country.

Yes, I would love to live in America: I can effort it. I would however hate it if I was a working class or lower middleclass person.

Yes, there are a lot of rules in e.g. WesternEurope. Some (a lot maybe) rother stupid, but also a lot to protect "working people", employees etc. from abuse, and to give them a "social umbrella".
Here in e.g. Western Europe, employees have rights:
By law (damn gouvernment rules), a minimum of 4 weeks, up to 6 weeks (depending of country) paid vacation. Some companies/employers might even give you more than legal after some years
By law, right of a fair severage payement, or time to find another job, when fired after many years of loyal service .
By law, the right of being sick (not part of vacation, no max sick days), whithout being fired for that, even after months, and still have a decent income.
By law, a right to ALL medical care
By law, help if you don't or can't find a job (including financial) = "social umbrella"
and so on..... damn that gouvernment.....

Of course, if you dont care about the larger group of the population (80 to 90% of the people), and only care for the rich and super rich (10 to 20%of the population????) then, YES, you hate gouvernment, and probably would love to return to the time of "the Old West" were only the powerfull had rights ......

Yes, also in Europe, companies have to obey certain strict rules for environment. They can't do whatever they want, whithout taking care of security, polution, etc....

I'm not saying the European system is the best, there are problems to, and we still have people (few) falling trough the "mazes" of social care, but on the whole, it's for most working people better living here, and go on our 4 - 6 week vacation to the States.....
And, as for the rich, well, yes, maybe we/they are not as rich as the American rich, but , it's not to bad.........
