anyone with his job and at his age which hasn't made an investment or two I sure wouldn't vote for to lead the country. I bet there wasn't anything the least bit shady about the purchase either.

Damn I wish I owned that Parking Lot. It is so sad that Neophile is so envious about such a great investment and of those that have built wealth through taking risks. I guess he feels it is unfair that he didn't make such smart investments. I would suggest some literacy courses. These can be self taught. Perhaps start with a book by a couple of the most successful business men and investors. Welcome to the Downloads section, where you can hear EXCLUSIVE audio lessons from the authors themselves, Donald J. Trump and Robert Kiyosaki!

Here you Go Neophile:
You'll learn:
• How to harness the power of "Thinking BIG!"
• How to see the opportunities that surround you every day
• How YOU can apply the lessons of the book to your own life – and find true success!
Another book that may help you understand how to understand that being wealthy (not only monetarily but emotionally) is not a bad thing is Think and Grow Rich Napoleon Hill first published in 1937 and has sold Millions of copies, The Seven Habits of Highly Effective People, Rich Dad, Poor Dad: What the Rich Teach Their Kids About Money--That the Poor and Middle Class Do Not!, The Richest Man in Babylon a book for those like Neophile or anyone who seems baffled by the world of finance.-

I guess the "linkage" of McCanes Father in Law totally Negates Barack Obama's sweetheart land deal with Tony Rezco who was handed down a guilty verdict on 16 of 24 corruption counts.
Reply
As Obama pointed out recently ""I'm saddened by today's verdict," Obama said Wednesday. "This isn't the Tony Rezko I knew, but now he has been convicted by a jury on multiple charges that once again shine a spotlight on the need for reform. I encourage the General Assembly to take whatever steps are necessary to prevent these kinds of abuses in the future."
It will surely negate his Know "Links" to know radical extremist and domestic terrorist William Ayers "Obama made it seem at the debate he hardly knew Ayers. Besides serving on the Woods Fund board, in 1997 he and Ayers were to be on a University of Chicago panel organized by Michelle Obama, then an associate dean. And Ayers could reinforce Obama as an elitist: In 2002, Obama and Ayers were scheduled to be on a UIC panel with this lampoon-able title: "Intellectuals in Times of Crisis." And in Obama's defense in Regard to this long standing relationship with Ayers his campaign had this to say Obama’s campaign dismisses the notion that his relationship with Ayers should be seen through the lens of the latter’s violent past, or his present lack of regret for the bombings.
“Sen. Obama strongly condemns the violent actions of the Weathermen group, as he does all acts of violence,” said Obama’s press secretary, Bill Burton. “But he was an 8-year-old child when Ayers and the Weathermen were active, and any attempt to connect Obama with events of almost 40 years ago is ridiculous.”
I guess the fact that Obama was an adult when he and Ayers shared in their Intellectually elitism.
Certainly John McCanes father-in-laws Links will negate Obamas activities with Ayres along with the records of the Chicago Annenberg Challenge, an organization that Obama chaired and that Ayers co-founded, which will be made available to the public Tuesday, the university said in a statement.
In the 1990s, Ayers was instrumental in starting the Chicago Annenberg Challenge, which was awarded nearly $50 million by a foundation to help reform Chicago schools. But of course Obama was only a distant acquantance of Ayers even thoug hhe was Chairman of Ayers Organization.

When Warren asked McCain how he defined “rich,” McCain replied by saying, “I think if you’re just talking about income, how about 5 million (dollars)?”
Reply
McCain quickly elaborated on his answer by adding, “I’m sure that comment will be distorted, but the point is … that we want to keep people’s taxes low and increase revenues.”
On Monday, McCain campaign spokesman Tucker Bounds responded to Obama’s criticism, saying McCain had been prescient in his warning.
“As was immediately predicted by John McCain after he made the remark, Barack Obama is already distorting his comment about the definition of ‘rich’ in America. Remember when Barack Obama said he was ‘tired of distortion, name-calling and sound bite solutions to complicated problems?’ Neither do we,” Bounds said.
A McCain aide later told FOX News that the GOP frontrunner was “asked about defining who is rich in the context of raising taxes.”
McCain “firmly believes in not raising any American’s taxes. It’s not the job of government to define who is rich,” the aide said.
I agree. The government nor Obama should be defining someones wealth or lack thereof . I am for the flat tax which is a consumption tax rather than an Income tax.

"You don't know what you've got 'til it's gone."
They paved paradise, and put up a parking lot.
This would make a great attack ad, and somehow I think the Democrats would be able to get permission for use of the song:
... a mom-and-pop shop being bulldozed, a clearcut forest, fleets of SUVs, a 'made in china' label, a closed manufacturing plant, oil spills covering a beach... powerful images to go with the song. Final image (if they can get it) would be the "Straight Talk Express" parked in an otherwise-empty lot...
No speech, just the images and the song. -

That's exactly why it's so fantastic to be an American and live in America. We all have the opportunity to become very rich in this country. But hey, if you think it's wrong to be rich, then get the F out of this country. Move to N. Korea or someplace that you can live like a stinking starving rat!

Only if you have no morals, and no sense of family, and are willing to walk off, leave a sick wife and children, which is how John Sidney McCain amassed his wealth.

If he'd come up with an idea like Bill Gates, or if he had the savvy to make money like Oprah, then i would applaud him, but he didn't get his decently, he got his at the expense of other people, which is abhorable. -

Isn't it amazing how libs first attack anything market-related, but have absolutely no hesitation using the market's measuring stick to attack their opponents?
Plus, they attack Bush for being a failed businessman. Now they attack McCain for being a successful one. You can't win with these people because they make up the script as they go along.

McLame and his money bags wife definitely qualify for those huge tax cuts for the super rich. No wonder the senile old fool wants to make the Bush tax cuts permanent. What's another 3 or 4 trillion on the national debt - chicken feed.

Do you have blood flowing through your veins, or battery acid? You show a disturbing lack of feelings for your fellow man. The bible speaks of people who cherish money and material things over people - this is the future of those who think like that and act accordingly: "The fruit you long for is gone from you. All your riches and splendor have vanished, never to be recovered"...."in one hour such wealth has been brought to ruin!" Revelation 18:14-17

Your candidate's leadership experience:
Reply
The four plus years (1995-1999) Barack Obama spent as founding chairman of the board of the Chicago Annenberg Challenge (CAC) represent his track record as reformer, as someone who reached out in a public-private collaboration and had the audacity to believe his effort would make things better. At the time he became leader of this ambitious project to remake the public schools of Chicago, he was 33 years old and a third year associate at a small Chicago law firm, Davis, Miner, Barnhill & Galland.
This was a big test for him, his chance to cut his teeth on bringing hope and change to the mostly minority inner city school children trapped in Chicago schools. And he flopped big time, squandering lots of money and the time of many public employees in the process.
If Ayers were the sole point of interest in seeking the Annenberg Challenge files promised to Kurtz, all "132 boxes, containing 947 file folders, a total of about 70 linear feet of material", then the Obama camp might claim it was merely guilt-by association and persuade at least some of its own partisans. But the fact that Obama was in charge of a massive expensive project makes it indisputably a matter of proper vetting to examine his track record at delivering on promises of hope and change.-

And what did the Republicans do for them again? O yah sent them to war to protect their oil. Oh yah fighting any raise in minimum wage...oh ya wants health care only for the rich, oh yah want to drill everywhere regardless of environmental concerns oh yah wants everyone to follow their Christian religion All Republicans are, are reverse communists like sheep they say : he wants to raise taxes " Like it would make a difference to regular people....no it wont but it would sure change the tax breaks of the rich, anyway it is much more important to ask yourself...what do they do with my taxes those arrogant old oil folk. . I think people voted for Bush because they have about the same IQ he has and everyone knows it is not high.Think boy think for yourself for a change turn off Fox and go see the world

You are obviously the antithesis of your name. You are spouting the same old tired lies that the superlibs say. Obviously you can't think for yourself.
Reply
The first lie is going to war to protect their oil. Obviously you had your head in the sand as time after time Saddam Hussein thumbed his nose at the UN and did not let the inspectors do their jobs that he agreed to let them do. Then there sere the attacks on our fighters enforcing the no fly zone. You also ignore that there were 13 nations that went into the war with us.
Health care for only the rich. You obviously want the health care that Englan enjoys now. You want to see a doctor. Ok get in line and get your appointment in a few months. Then if you are refereed it will take another few months to see that doctor. If you need surgery that is not to save your life immediately then more months. If you have arthritis or heart disease then you self treat. What a system you want to inflict on this country.
Have you ever been to an oil field? There are pumps that run send oil into pipes to be taken to a holding tank some distance away. While not pretty they have little environmental impact. In fact the pipeline across Alaska has helped the local environment by keeping the area near ir a little warmer and the animals like to be near it. In ANWR the area would be a few acres out of the huge tundra area. There is not very much there to impact. Northern Alaska is very cold. Then you say we are going to wreck that???
You are obviously ignorant about religion. You seem to think that anybody that is one is automatically a Republican. You are trashing a large group of Democrats when you say that. Nancy Pelosie is a Catholic. Most Democrat leaders are religious. Why trash your own party like that.

Knowing the repug reputation for shady, no-bid contracts, I wonder how McSame did get the concession for that parking-on. Knowing when and where the stadium was to be built before the general public would have advantages. I'd bet the back-door shenanigans with Johnney's connections plus Cindy money probably got the property at an unbelievably low price.

What good did Theresa Heinz-Kerry's money do John Kerry once the cons decided to swift boat him? Not the same situation at all.
Reply
I also bet you that John Kerry can tell you how many homes he owns
How many children did he walk off and leave when he decided to latch onto Theresa, did he walk off an leave a sick wife? NO.. she wanted a divorce from him because she didn't want the life of a politicians wife!
You can't compare the two lives at all. Kerry had integrity, something many of you don't understand or respect. You respect greed and the lack of conscience it takes to do whatever you have to in order to get everything you want. Even if it's your own children who suffer.

I've come to America.
Reply
I've seen it.
I've "understood"
Like JC said: "veni, vidi, vici"
America is great, ..... if you are rich, and, for me, well, sorry, "rich" starts at a much lower income than 5 milion.
For most "working class people however, it's an "American (impossible) dream". And .... the "american dream" is kept in place by the brainwash from the super rich., as, in truth an IMPOSSIBLE dream it usualy is.
I travel to the States at least once a year (vacation, e.g. skiing), and I don't think I'm poor (even tough for Mc Cain I must be VERY poor)
However, for lower Middleclass, and regular working people, it is a very tough country.
Yes, I would love to live in America: I can effort it. I would however hate it if I was a working class or lower middleclass person.
Yes, there are a lot of rules in e.g. WesternEurope. Some (a lot maybe) rother stupid, but also a lot to protect "working people", employees etc. from abuse, and to give them a "social umbrella".
Here in e.g. Western Europe, employees have rights:
By law (damn gouvernment rules), a minimum of 4 weeks, up to 6 weeks (depending of country) paid vacation. Some companies/employers might even give you more than legal after some years
By law, right of a fair severage payement, or time to find another job, when fired after many years of loyal service .
By law, the right of being sick (not part of vacation, no max sick days), whithout being fired for that, even after months, and still have a decent income.
By law, a right to ALL medical care
By law, help if you don't or can't find a job (including financial) = "social umbrella"
and so on..... damn that gouvernment.....
Of course, if you dont care about the larger group of the population (80 to 90% of the people), and only care for the rich and super rich (10 to 20%of the population????) then, YES, you hate gouvernment, and probably would love to return to the time of "the Old West" were only the powerfull had rights ......
Yes, also in Europe, companies have to obey certain strict rules for environment. They can't do whatever they want, whithout taking care of security, polution, etc....
I'm not saying the European system is the best, there are problems to, and we still have people (few) falling trough the "mazes" of social care, but on the whole, it's for most working people better living here, and go on our 4 - 6 week vacation to the States.....
And, as for the rich, well, yes, maybe we/they are not as rich as the American rich, but , it's not to bad.........-

"Veni, vidi, vici" was the report that Roman generals gave when reporting back after a campaign. I came, I saw, I conquered.
Our working class does just fine in spite of what the liberals think. The reports in from last year from the census bureau is that more people have health care, pay increased for lower income workers and the gap between the rich and poor became smaller. Just the opposite of the liberal ranting points.
